1 Reviews of the Yellowstone II Vent
By: Chrisinhove Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2016 Rating:
Almost the perfect motorcycle touring tent, and probably one of the best without spending silly money.
Tall -ish, spacious, useable porches each side, and best of all, the walls zip fully down to leave a mesh inner for when it's hot, so it's fully vented and bug -free, but also useable where and when it's cooler unlike tents with mesh only inners.
Pitches neatly and easily using DAC clips all over, good quality DAC poles, & includes sturdy-enough alloy pegs.
I paid much less than RRP in a Camping World promotion.
Negatives:
1. Quite long and relatively heavy, so not for backpacking.
2. Inner first pitching.
3. The accessory footprint doesn't extend under the porches.
Nevertheless, the + points far outweigh the - points and I would buy tent this again.

Manufacturer's Description
Wind stable, free-standing and with 360° ventilation: The YELLOWSTONE II VENT is our best-ventilated 2-person tent. Two air vents in the roof, doors and sides respectively, plus four large, screened mesh panels in the inner tent allow the air to circulate freely and create a pleasant inner climate. If it gets cold or the wind picks up, you can shut the vents to keep the warmth inside the tent.
The self-supporting dome design makes it quick and easy to pitch and, thanks to our REAL DOME technology, very wind stable. Because the poles are at a steeper angle at the bottom than in conventional dome tents, the YELLOWSTONE II VENT benefits from optimal use of the interior space. In the summer, the inner tent can be pitched alone to save weight. There is an entrance on both sides of the tent, each with a vestibule.
Free-standing dome design with variable pole diameters for improved wind stability and optimal use of internal space (REAL DOME TECHNOLOGY) special modular system for fast, uncomplicated pitching and greater pitch stability (FAST PITCH TECHNOLOGY) free-standing inner tent 2 vestibules 2 entrances roof ventilation, 2 zipped roof vents, 2 zipped side vents, additional vents (360° ventilation) 2 windows 4 internal storage pockets loops for washing line/lamp attachment reflectors on main guying points and zip tabs 16 pegs, 6 guylines Flysheet: lightweight, robust, fast-drying and UV resistant fabric with PU coating (POLYESTER 75D, water column rating: 4000 mm) Inner tent: soft, breathable and fast-drying fabric (POLYESTER 68D BREATHABLE) Groundsheet: durable, waterproof coated fabric (HYDROFILM POLYESTER 150D; water column rating 10,000 mm) Frame: tent poles with variable diameters for improved stability and reduced weight (DAC REVERSE COMBI, 7001 T6 Aluminium 9.5-11.1 mm) roll-top pack bag
